Title of Class:
Leading Worship- Advanced, Virtual via Zoom

Summary of Class:
This online course will be led by Rev. Fabian Gonzalez from Good Shepherd UMC.  Those taking this class will benefit from Fabian’s church planting experience and the Lay Servant book. This course focuses on the ministry of the lay servant who either regularly or occasionally leads a group or congregation in worship. It will explain the basic pattern of United Methodist worship within the broader context of Christian worship.

Description:
The Leading Worship class will be held online, via Zoom, at 6:30 PM on Wednesday nights. To get full credit for the class, attendance at each class is required. Please plan to attend each class as scheduled: May 4, 11, 18, 25 and June 1. Each participant will need the book “Worshiping with United Methodist” by Hoyt Hickman. It can be found on Amazon, or at Cokesbury. There is no fee for this online course.  Please note, you will receive an email a few weeks prior to the first class that will include the class Zoom link and any pre-course assignments. We can host up to 20 participants, and registration will close by end of day April 20.

There are no prerequisites required to take this course. It counts as an advanced lay servant ministry class upon completion. Attendance at each class is required to receive completion status.

Plan to have your book, a notebook, a pen and your bible with you at each class. You will receive the class Zoom link one week prior to the start of class.
