Explore Alpha and understand how it can work as an effective tool to reach your community, no matter where they’re at on their faith journey. Alpha, a series of group sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith, is perfectly positioned to reach people during our current season – one marked by isolation and confusion – by providing an opportunity to connect and explore questions of life, faith and meaning.

This virtual session introduces church leaders to the story of Alpha and why it works. You'll learn about Alpha's seven best practices and how these can help prepare you for a successful Alpha online or in-person.

There is no cost for the training, but we ask that you register in advance.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of group sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith, typically spanning over 11 weeks. Each session begins with a meal, some time to connect with others and is followed by watching a short video together that looks at a different question around faith. The talks are designed to create conversation in a safe and non-judgmental space where people are free to explore questions and to share what they think and feel about the Christian faith.
